Placement Day 1

It started off with the HLL interview. After a brief introduction about myself to the delectable HR, I started off something like this ...My enthralling experience at IIT has taught me a lot about leadership, team work ...bla bla "you know it all". I thought i had started off perfectly; stated all the funda on self-belief, lifting up yourself when u are in dire straits, perseverence- should tell you that i had recently(infact just a night before) discovered all these qualities of mine.- Botched up the technical round.

Lined up next was the ITC interview. Just reported a little late for the interview so that ITC people would ask me the reason for delay & I would say' HLL took a little more time then expected, sorry for the inconvenience' (Last year ITC recruited people who had cleared HLL GD & reached it's interview stage!). Unfortunately non of this happened but my interview went quiet well. Infact everyone else had cracked ITC's interview - so was kind of hard to be confident- but I was.
Next was Lehman Brothers. I had lost all the hope & enthusiasm by then. When you wake up at 6.00 am - that too in winters, dont have breakfast-only a halfhearted lunch, shout in the GD's, rush to different buildings to give your interviews & GD's ,justify yourselves in the interviews->all of this drains you mentally as well as physically. Situation gets worse when there is an i-bank lined up next to conduct rounds of stress interviews.
I would say, life after this was an ordeal till 5.00 am in the morning (It started at 7.30 in the evening), but an ordeal worth fighting.
